The aim of this module is to provide the learner with an understanding of their obligations and responsibilities under health and safety legislation. It empowers individuals to identify potential hazards and risks within their workplace, while also offering strategies for implementing efficient measures to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.​

This module will cover:
  • Understanding obligations and responsibilities outlined in The Health and Safety Law Act.
    Emphasising the significance of clear communication and proper reporting procedures.
  • Utilising risk assessments and control measures to prevent accidents and mitigate risks and hazards.
  • Exploring the role of safety equipment, signage, and the necessity of regular maintenance.
  • Investigating and reporting both accidents and near misses for continuous improvement in safety protocols.
On completion of this module, learners will be able to:
