eLearning Plus – Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Policy

eLearning Plus – ESG Policy

At eLearning Plus, we are committed to being a responsible business that contributes positively to society and the environment. As an SME business operating in the digital learning sector, our ambition is to drive meaningful change. This ESG Policy outlines our approach to managing environmental impact, promoting social well-being, and ensuring good governance.

Environmental Responsibility

We recognise the critical importance of reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability. As a digital-first business, eLearning Plus inherently reduces the carbon footprint traditionally associated with in-person training.

Our Commitments:

  • 100% Digital Delivery: Our training solutions are delivered entirely online, eliminating travel emissions, venue use, printed materials, and physical infrastructure.
  • Remote Work Model: All staff work remotely, reducing daily commuting emissions and office energy consumption.
  • Paperless Operations: All documents, contracts, and communications are managed digitally.
  • Green Hosting: Our LMS (Zanda360) is hosted on AWS, which is committed to using 100% renewable energy across its global infrastructure by 2025.

Supporting Data:

  • eLearning consumes 90% less energy and produces 85% fewer CO₂ emissions per learner compared to traditional classroom training. (Source: The Open University and The CleanTech Report)
  • eLearning can reduce learning time by 40–60%, resulting in quicker knowledge application and less time spent in energy-consuming training environments. (Source: Brandon Hall Group)

Social Responsibility

We aim to have a positive impact on individuals, organisations, and wider communities through inclusive, accessible, and relevant learning opportunities.

Our Commitments:

  • The Pay it Forward Learning Project: Offers free learning access to individuals facing barriers to employment, including veterans, ex-offenders, and the long-term unemployed.
  • EDI and Wellbeing Courses: We maintain a wide range of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Health & Wellbeing content to support organisational culture change.
  • Inclusive Access: All learning modules are mobile-friendly, CPD certified, and designed to be as accessible as possible (focused around WCAG compliance standards).
  • Local Economic Support: We use UK-based contractors and suppliers wherever possible to support regional economic resilience.

Governance

As an SME business, good governance is about transparency, ethical operations, and accountability in our day-to-day business and client relationships.

Our Commitments:

  • Data Security and Privacy: We comply with UK GDPR requirements and ensure all client data is securely stored and managed.
  • Ethical Business Conduct: We act with integrity in all our dealings, maintaining fairness, honesty, and professional ethics (many organisations say this – but we try to live this day-to-day).
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption: We have a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption, and we conduct all business in compliance with the Bribery Act 2010.
  • Regular Policy Review: This ESG Policy is reviewed annually by the CEO to ensure it remains current and effective.

Measurement and Reporting

While our scale limits our ability to commit to extensive ESG tracking systems, we commit to:

Annually collecting data on:

  • Carbon-reducing benefits of digital training (using learner and course data).
  • Number of learners supported via the Pay it Forward Project.
  • Engagement with EDI and wellbeing courses.

Including ESG outcomes in key client proposals and reports, where appropriate and relevant.

Conclusion

At eLearning Plus, we view ESG as a guiding principle for sustainable, responsible growth. We are committed to continuous improvement and to using our skills, people, knowledge, courses and platform to make a positive impact—socially, environmentally, and ethically.
