eLearning Plus - Social Value Policy

Our Commitment to Social Value

As an SME business in the UK digital learning sector, eLearning Plus is deeply committed to delivering meaningful social value through all aspects of our work. Our mission – to make engaging, accessible learning available to all – guides the way we support individuals, communities, and the broader public sector. We may be small in size, but we believe our impact can be significant through targeted, purpose-led initiatives.

This policy sets out how we create ethical, social value.

1. Supporting Economic Recovery and Growth

  • Participation: We prioritise using UK-based professionals and service providers, to contribute to local economic resilience.
  • SME Collaboration: We actively collaborate with other small businesses and independent consultants in the training and development space, fostering skills-sharing and micro-supply chain development.
  • Digital Upskilling: Our learning resources—particularly those in compliance skills, EDI, and personal development—enable organisations to develop internal capability affordably and efficiently.

2. Creating Opportunities for Disadvantaged Groups

  • The Pay it Forward Learning Project: Our flagship initiative provides free access to workplace-focused online learning for individuals facing barriers to employment. This includes the homeless, ex-offenders, military veterans, and those unemployed for extended periods. Delivered via trusted charity partners, this project enhances employability and boosts confidence through skills development.
  • Voluntary Contributions: Via the Pay it Forward Learning Project, we commit a percentage of our annual course licence availability to charitable or community-based organisations supporting disadvantaged learners.
  • Inclusive Access: All our courses are CPD certified, mobile-accessible, and designed with inclusivity in mind, ensuring learners of all abilities can access our content.

3. Promoting Equal Opportunity and Tackling Inequality

  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Training: We offer a wide range of accessible EDI courses to help organisations embed inclusive practices. These courses are frequently used by organisations to meet internal training requirements.
  • Internal Practices: We apply fair, inclusive hiring and supplier selection processes, and are an Equal Opportunities business.

4. Wellbeing and Community Resilience

  • Mental Health & Wellbeing Focus: Our Health & Wellbeing course collection supports employee wellbeing across organisations, including modules on stress management, emotional intelligence, and resilience.
  • Workplace Culture Support: We help clients build healthier, more inclusive workplace cultures through curated learning pathways that drive behavioural and cultural change.

5. Environmental Considerations

  • Digital First, Low Carbon Footprint: As a fully digital provider, our model inherently reduces travel and printed materials, supporting the reduction of CO₂ emissions and promoting a more sustainable approach to learning delivery.
  • Remote Working Model: Our team operates remotely, minimising our environmental impact and contributing to wider sustainability goals.

6. Measurement and Reporting

As an SME business, we focus on achievable, high-impact targets:

  • We will report annually on the number of licences donated via the Pay it Forward Learning Project.
  • We can track and report diversity and reach of learners engaging with our wellbeing and EDI collections.
  • Publish impact stories (with consent) through our website and social channels to showcase learner journeys and outcomes.

Conclusion

Our size doesn’t limit our ability to make a difference. At eLearning Plus, we embed social value in everything we do—from how we build partnerships to how we create and deliver learning. We are proud to support our communities and contribute to the UK’s goals for a fairer, healthier, and more inclusive society.
